Jamnica Ltd. Mineral Water Plant
Mineral water from Jamnica springs had been exploited in pre-antiquity.In the late 18th century a thorough chemical analysis of the water was done, placing the water on the list of world-famous mineral waters. In 1828, first bottles were marketed under the name of Jamnička Kiselica. At the end of the 19th century the spring was leased to Zagreb merchant Vilim Lovrenčić who modernised the bottling outfit and restructured the marketing. After World War II the plant became property of Agrokombinat Zagreb which drilled a new well, Jamnica 62. Soon the plant was integrated into Marijan Badel which, once again, invested into upgrading the production. In 1993 Jamnica became part of Agrokor Corporation growing into the most modern mineral water plant in Croatia.
